Fear is a powerful force and some gripped by it, aren’t even aware. Understanding the voice of the one and only Shepphard will be life or death in this final hour. I have been teaching for years to tune out other voices and get before the Holy Spirit because if anyone or anything takes you out of position, your destiny will not be fulfilled. We must always keep in mind, we are first positioned to bring glory to our Commander and Chief, Jesus Christ and secondly bring the lost into the kingdom. Eternal life is at stake.
Having said that, can you identify the spirit of fear at work in your own life? As we study the life and courageous exploits of Joshua, there’s one identifying factor that stands out. I see it both in character and action. It’s my prayer you too will be able to identify your own strengths that have emerged from knowing His voice and heeding His voice alone in your life.
Joshua understood not all could go forward and face the enemy. He sent warriors into a land that was dangerous and some actually didn’t make it ( about 36). This resulted in FEAR. The portal in which this trauma entered was this very deployment of 2-3 thousand but the loss of a few caused incredible fear.( Sadly, war is inevitable and there will always be casualties). Joshua recognized this and literally was heartbroken. So much so he tore off his clothes and fell face down before the Lord. You see every good and Godly leader will always feel the loss, pain and recognize the fear in those they lead. Now here’s the turning point. Joshua questioned why God would send some of his army into a LAND that is DANGEROUS? Listen to this statement Joshua makes to His God. “ If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan!.” You see it’s human nature to stay where it’s SAFE, but do understand, CONTENTMENT is a dangerous place for believers to remain!
Joshua, then asks the one question every one of us need to ask. “What then will you do for your own great name?”
You see, the wrong questions are being asked in this hour. It’s not about what will keep you safe and what are the best options for you? We must recognize this is a form of PRIDE. It’s all about HIM. It always has been and it always will be. Fear and self preservation will make choices that are best for us! Always keep that in mind when seeking the Lord regarding your destiny and that of your families.
Sin will always keep us from hearing clearly and sin always results in death. Death of relationships, passion, destiny…keep adding to this thought! Jesus came to bring life and death will find its way through any portals we open. As I wrote in my book, not everyone will understand the way of a warrior. Not everyone is called into battle, but there are some called to run into it. There are those who see the giants, and aren’t looking to run away, but into! They have seen by the Spirit of God the fruit within that dangerous territory!
For us, The WARrens, we see the danger, but we see the fruit! What compels us? The voice of our Father and the souls lost within that dangerous territory. He moved us to Florida and positioned us within agencies we had NO idea of the way He would do it. We knew the churchy way wasn’t working. That was a fact! So the call came to us when we were simply going about the Father’s business quietly and behind the scenes. The method in which He opened the gates has both my husband and I in awe. Not in awe of our own strengths or accolades, but quite the opposite. This call and positioning requires everything we have and we are honored! We advance in fear and trembling. Those from the outside will not and cannot know details and to attempt to judge from the outside while warriors are going in, is quite the foolish reaction.
Pray without ceasing in these final days. Pray for the Joshua’s, Caleb’s and Deborah’s that are called to the Whitehouse, Courthouse, ChurchHouse. What is told on social media will NEVER be the complete picture as that would be foolishness on the part of the ones going in.
For just as John 10:16 declares, “there are sheep OUTSIDE of the pen that Jesus is calling.” It is the heart of the Father to gather them. The reality is, they aren’t all located in the safest places where the weather isn’t manipulated, the infiltrators and rhinos don’t exist but in fact, not one place like this exists on this earth. So having said that, Go where GOD instructs you. Man looks at outward circumstances but GOD sees eternity. What do you see? Your surroundings that bring peace, joy and contentment? I cannot speak for anyone other than myself and my husband but we see the HEART of The Father who sent His one and only Son to earth to suffer on the cross for all mankind. Anyone who will believe upon His name will be saved! Who will speak the name of Jesus over those residing in dangerous territories if everyone is running away? May your spirit rule over your flesh and then and only then will you hear the voice of Jehovah Nissi! His banner over this nation, over the world is Love. For God so loved the world that He GAVE. John 3:16-17, “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Why would we choose to not follow and imitate the ways of Jesus? Fear will keep you from doing so and pride will cause self-preservation.
In conclusion, for now, Revelation 12:11 “ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.”
Mark 8:36-37
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Joshua 7:7
When they returned to Joshua, they said, “Not all the army will have to go up against Ai. Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary the whole army, for only a few people live there.” 4 So about three thousand went up; but they were routed by the men of Ai, 5 who killed about thirty-six of them. They chased the Israelites from the city gate as far as the stone quarries and struck them down on the slopes. At this the hearts of the people melted in fear and became like water.
6 Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell facedown to the ground before the ark of the Lord, remaining there till evening. The elders of Israel did the same, and sprinkled dust on their heads. 7 And Joshua said, “Alas, Sovereign Lord, why did you ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan! 8 Pardon your servant, Lord. What can I say, now that Israel has been routed by its enemies? 9 The Canaanites and the other people of the country will hear about this and they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. What then will you do for your own great name?”
10 The Lord said to Joshua, “Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. 12 That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.
13 “Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, ‘Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are devoted things among you, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove them.
14 “‘In the morning, present yourselves tribe by tribe. The tribe the Lord chooses shall come forward clan by clan; the clan the Lord chooses shall come forward family by family; and the family the Lord chooses shall come forward man by man. 15 Whoever is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the Lord and has done an outrageous thing in Israel!’”
16 Early the next morning Joshua had Israel come forward by tribes, and Judah was chosen. 17 The clans of Judah came forward, and the Zerahites were chosen. He had the clan of the Zerahites come forward by families, and Zimri was chosen. 18 Joshua had his family come forward man by man, and Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was chosen.
19 Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”
20 Achan replied, “It is true! I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel. This is what I have done: 21 When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia,[c] two hundred shekels[d] of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels,[e] I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”
22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath. 23 They took the things from the tent, brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites and spread them out before the Lord.
24 Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor. 25 Joshua said, “Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.”
Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them. 26 Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the Lord turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor[f] ever since.
