I awoke this morning as the Holy Spirit began speaking wisdom to me. Literally I knew the Spirit of Wisdom awoke me ( Ephesians 1:17, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.”)
He began showing me a circle. He then said,”Ask my people to draw a circle. Within that circle have them write everyone and everything that’s routinely a part of their life. They will then determine within their own hearts when they see how these things or voices of these people are keeping them trapped mentally, spiritually and physically. They’ve circled around too many years. I’m providing a way out once they recognize how they’ve been kept within the same pattern and spheres of influence.”
I was then reminded of 1 Corinthians 10:12-13, “So if you think you are standing firm, be careful you don’t fall. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted He will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” I’ve always referred to this verse when evil or tempting pleasures present themselves. Especially when counseling others, there’s proof in God’s Word that He will show even the one with the weakest defenses against the enemy, a way to escape. However, the Spirit of Wisdom imparted greater revelation concerning this verse that I pray will help those who listen.
When I saw the circle, I began seeing people write different names and routines and simply daily “go to’s” if you will. For example, some are listening to the same teachers, preachers who are constantly broadcasting the same thing over and over. You’re listening to the warnings day after day, week after week that never change and yet offer no solutions. Your circle may include the same foods, television programs or other routines that are keeping you going around and around in a circle. Routines and discipline are vital to implement in our lives. However, wisdom spoke and said, “I will provide an opening in this circle, but what’s outside of that circle will be a new way and for you to fully grasp the blessing I’m about to provide, you must first understand the influences within your circle are keeping you focused on them and not Me, thus producing the same results. My people have found and settled into a sense of comfort in what has been familiar.”
I’d like to expound on this thought. First in regards to the teaching/preaching aspect of this circle. I would consistently hear of a pastor who gave away a lot of money and publicly made videos about this. I was in awe because finally, a leader who is giving to those in need. As I myself have found an opening within my circle this year, I am able to see beyond the scope of what’s being “said and heard.” The Lord revealed to me the motive is to keep people coming to that church in hopes that they too will receive monetarily, thus looking to the leader, not to Jesus, their provider. The leader knows full well this is their intention. Keep the church pews full. (Matthew 6:3 “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing). Also, Listening to teachings that are consistently about the same subject, just different speakers presenting more warnings, judgements and gossip. Where are the solutions?
Indeed, we must warn and expose and I’m the first to do so when instructed. When is enough enough? The people need answers for their personal lives. Their spiritual well-being, physical, mental and financial state is at risk!. Now aside from all the people you’re following that are written within your circle, what about foods, tv shows, your vocation/job? Again, routines are necessary but what if the Spirit of wisdom is saying, “ it’s time to break your routine and trust me to open up new possibilities, new avenues, new spheres of influence?” As I was having this conversation with the Holy Spirit further into my quiet time this morning, He spoke this to my heart. “If my people don’t break from this pattern and routine, they will continue to circle around day after day, year after year. They will only grow Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually as far as those things indicated within their circle.” Selah! Let that sink in a moment.
Back to 1 Corinthians 10. As I remained still meditating on what the Spirit of Wisdom was speaking, my understanding grew. You see, the Apostle Paul was making it clear there’s a way out of temptation, however I encourage you to consider this. Your routines from the same job, the stability of the same paycheck, the same teachers, the same food, the same exercise routine or lack thereof, these patterns you listed in your circle, are your temptation. Temptation isn’t always evil. The familiar, safe and comfortable are a temptation to a believer’s destiny! We are tempted to keep those “familiar comforts” because it’s what we know and inadvertently, provides a safety net. But what if what we know isn’t enough? Ephesians 1 continues as the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation are received, then let’s SEE what else is available to every believer. “ that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the Hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the Saints and his incomparably great power for us who believe!“
Extraordinary destiny is available to every believer. Jesus multiplied everything He put His hands to and this blessed access is ours as well, through our faith, trust and ultimately our surrender to His will for our lives. The question facing all of us today is are we ready to find the opening in our circle? There’s an opening for precious ones. I don’t know about you, but as for me, I’m breaking out of this circle in every way possible. I don’t want to revisit the same routine, same platforms, same clicks same….same….same….We were born to be history makers and if you keep circling around the same comforts or familiar faces and places, you will limit yourself Physically, Spiritually, Mentally and Financially! Let’s Find That opening today!
